MEMORIES & RESPECT
This is a word formation task I prepared for my students, although it is the message I´m trying to get across to them, more than have them practise word formation. Inspired by a small, but significant act of teenage vandalism, I decided to prepare this text. I hope you find it useful, be it just for reading or discussion as well.

Soup Ladle Stops Tiger Attack
This is a reading comprehension exercise based on a BBC news article. There is a True / False exercise, a crossword puzzle and a cloze test to practise articles. I´ve also included a link to a CBBC online quiz about tigers. Yesterday I uploaded a printable version of this OE with two extra exercises on passive voice and a roleplay task. You can find it here http://www.eslprintables.com/printable.asp?id=570280#thetop

READ & LEARN - SYNONYMS & WORD FORMATION
This is a vocabulary task based on a poem by F. Letras (with his kind permission) and it contains synonyms, word formation and reading comprehension. I hope you find it useful. The poem has an interesting ending, so you might even use it (for Halloween maybe?) as an open-ended poem with your stodents and have them guess the ending before doing the OE.
