Mr. Twits hunt.
 
         
 

Find the second part of each sentence and write the corresponding number.

 

1 Once a week, on Wednesdays,                                                             along the top of all the branches.

 

2 Mr Twit was good at catching birds. He would paint glue                          the Twits had Bird Pie for supper.

 

3 As the sun went down, birds would fly in and at the moment they landed, 

                                                             the big dead tree just for fun and got stuck as tight as could be.

 

4 One evening some boys crept into the Twits’ garden                           their feet stuck to the big dead tree.

8 The boys were terrified and cried:                            “Boy Pie might be better than Bird Pie.”

 

9 One boy got and idea and whispered:                      “He’s going to cook us. He’ll stew us alive.” 

 

10 Mr Twit had reached the top of the ladder when the boys     he found the miserable boys.
