The weather
by Carmen Coronel

Level: elementary
Age: 3-12

This is an elementary level activity I´ve prepared for my 12-year-old students as a way of revising the vocabulary to talk about the weather. They have a mix and match activity first and then some questions about the weather in different places, just to produce some language.

What's the weather like?

  • Match the adjectives about the weather to the appropriate picture:

snowy       stormy      windy        cloudy       sunny       rainy      cold

                             hot                 freezing                    foggy
             It's             It's          It's          It's            It's
           It's         It's              It's              It's              It's
  •   What's the weather like in your town today?
  • What's the weather like in the North Pole?
  • What's the weather usually like in the British Isles?
  • What's the weather usually like in the Canary Islands?
