Review of past tenses - 2
 
1. Put the verb in barckets into a suitable past verb form. Only use the past perfect where this is absolutely necessary
  
a) The restaurant (pay)  no attention to Steve's complaint because (complain)  so many times before.
 
b) I (sit)  down on the beach for a while, near the family who (have)  a barbecue.
 
c) I (send)  you a message on facebook last night but you (not answer) . What (you do) ?
 
d) We (get)  to the house as fast as we could but the car (disappear) .
 
e) While I (try)  to fix the chain on my bike, a man cycling by (stop)  and (offer) to help me.
 
f) Sorry, I (not pay)  attention, I (think)  about something else.
 
g) In the end, we (not go)  shopping yesterday because it (rain) .
 
h) Fabien (admit)  that he (hit)  the wall, but said he (not damage)  it.
 
i) I forgot to tell you, yesterday while I , I saw that American man you like.
 
j) At that time I was (work) , so I (not notice)  what colour jacket the man (wear)
