The Cat and the Fox
A fox� and a cat
bragging about clever ways of escaping enemies.
"I have a whole bag of tricks," the fox
saying, "which contains a hundred ways of escaping my enemies."
"I have only one," said the cat; "but I can generally manage with that."
Just at that moment they heard the cry of hounds which
coming towards them, and the cat immediately jumped up a tree and hid herself in the branches.�
"This is my plan," said the cat. "What are you going to do?"

The fox thought first of one way and started to scamper off.� But then another, even better trick
popping into his head and he started in the other direction.� Then the fox stopped.� Another trick come to him but he
not quite sure if it
better than the second one he'd had.
While he
debating the hounds
coming nearer and nearer.�
At last, the fox in his confusion as to which plan
best
caught by the hounds, putting an end to all of his clever plans.
