The Cat and the Fox

A fox  and a cat bragging about clever ways of escaping enemies.

"I have a whole bag of tricks," the fox saying, "which contains a hundred ways of escaping my enemies."

"I have only one," said the cat; "but I can generally manage with that."

Just at that moment they heard the cry of hounds which coming towards them, and the cat immediately jumped up a tree and hid herself in the branches. 

"This is my plan," said the cat. "What are you going to do?"
 
The fox thought first of one way and started to scamper off.  But then another, even better trick popping into his head and he started in the other direction.  Then the fox stopped.  Another trick come to him but he not quite sure if it better than the second one he'd had.

While he debating the hounds coming nearer and nearer. 

At last, the fox in his confusion as to which plan best caught by the hounds, putting an end to all of his clever plans.
 

Remember:  a little common sense is better than many sneaky tricks!
