HOW TO FORM THE NEGATIVE IN THE PRESENT TENSE
When the verb is an auxilary you add "not" to write the negative. E.g. You
are not
listening to the teacher
When the verb is not an auxiliary you need "do" or "does" to do the negative in the present tense. E.g. You
do not (don't)
like dancing / She
does not (doesn't)
drink milk
