PRESENT SIMPLE PASSIVE

PASSIVE VOICE

· A sentence is in the active voice when the subject does the action.

· A verb is in the passive voice when it shows what is done to the subject.

e.g.They make paper from wood.(active)

Paper is made from wood.(passive)

*The passive is formed with a form of the auxilary ‘be’,followed by the past participle of a main verb.

*Only verbs that have an object can have a passive form.Verbs with two objects can have two passive forms.

Present Simple Passive 

1. Children eat a lot of sweets.

2. Mum bakes cakes at the weekend.

3. My sister collects napkins.

4. He buys a new car every year.

5. They teach French as a foreign language.

6. Julia plays chess.

7. Sema makes puzzles.

8. We make ice creams at home.

9. Jack cooks delicious spaghetti.

10. People love football in Turkey.

11. They paint the school walls every three years.

12. My sister drinks a lot of fizzy drinks.

13. He writes amazing stories.

14. Mr Jackson teach English and German.

15. She never eats meat.

16. He translates books.

17. He opens the market very early.

18. They grow tea in Rize.

19. Olsens give a party every June.

20. Matt plays the guitar.
