I don't think  I've ever met anybody like Mrs Higgins. She's 45  a widow  and a humpback. She lives in one of the oldest houses in town  but will not move out  unless the council gives her a better  cheaper  or bigger house instead of her old one. She says  that she is quite happy  where she is  and will miss it  if she moves. Her late husband  who was a carpenter  decorated everything inside the house  and even designed the kitchen himself. The mayor came to see her  and talk to her one day  because he wants to use the land for a new project. When he asked her  if she didn't want a new home  she simply threw him out.
