Alana Diller has a lot in common with her neighbor Halan Brown. Alana works full time, and does Haley.
Alana has just hired a sitter for her baby. Haley too. And theyre both careful parents. Alana interviewed a lot of people before deciding on the best person for the job. So Haley.
Theres one important difference, however. Alanas Brenda is a human baby,Haleys Agne isnt. Agne is great Dane, a dog the size of a small Pony.

Haley says, "I feel very responsible for Agnes. Its like having a child. Alana cant leave her baby alone for ten hours every day, and can I. Both brenda and Agnes need human contact and care during the day".
Jack Austin, owner of PetCare, agrees. "Human children are social creatures, and sopets, especially dogs. Being alone is painful for them and bad for their health too".
"Most of us think of our pets as our babies". Continued Austin. "My friends who are parents dont mind buying the best food for their babies and I dont. They want their kids to go to the best schools, and soI".
Schools? arent we carrying this comparison a little too far? "not at all", says Austin. "our puppy kindergarten performs the same service for dogs that human kindergarden does for children. A five-year-old child will need to learn about his or her environment, and so a puppy. A child will need todevelop social skills, and a puppy will". Austins company even offers play dates so that shy dogs can make new friends.
"A lot of my friends think its silly", lauhed Haley, "but I. I have my social contacs, andAgnes. The peace of mind is worth the expense".
