 Albinistic Animals Are Awesome!

I hope no one missed the alliteration in the title! The title "Albinistic Animals Are Awesome" is an example of alliteration because each word begins with the consonant A.)
An albinistic animal may lack normal pigmentation or coloration, but they are still fascinating. Animals that are albinos lack pigmentation due to an absence of melanin from the time of birth. These babies are born with white hair, pale skin, and usually pinkish eyes. (Plants that are albinos lack normal amounts of chlorophyll or other pigments.) (http://www.thefreedictionary.com/albino)
Albino = noun (When we say albino animal, albino becomes an adjective
 describing the noun, animal.)
Albinism = noun = the condition of being albino
Albinistic = adjective = describes the type of organism
Example: An animal may have albinistic traits, but may not be a complete albino.
Albinism is due to various gene mutations that affect the production of normal pigmentation.
Note: A gene mutation is a random change in a gene or chromosome resulting in a new trait or characteristic that can be inherited.
True albinos lackall theirmelanin and are white with no markings and with unpigmented pink eyes. Partial (blue-eyed) albinos have some pigmentation. There are various degrees of patchy albinism (piebaldism) due to localized mutations in skin cells. Temperature - dependent albinos have residual color on cooler parts of the body, such as the tip of the tail. (http://funbrainiac.com/index.php/Weird/Albino-Animals.html)
Fun Fact 1: There is a belief that an animal with albinism will become blind halfway through life. This is NOT true.
Fun Fact 2: Animals with albinism do not particularly have a shorter life span than other animals
Fun Fact 3: Albinism in fish is highly affected by the eggs exposure to heavy metals.
Fun Fact 4: The eyes of an animal with albinism are occasionally red.
