STAR WARS SAGA

The six STAR WARS films report the facts which took place in the last year of the Republic, in addition the rise and the collapse of the Empire. On screen, it is possible to see how the boy Anakin�s life is modified by the jedies and by Palpatine and influencies the whole galaxy. Despite the importance of this period, which lasts 36 years, it is just a short time in space history. George Lucas, the saga author, preferred the rest of the story to be told by the games and comic books. Such multim�dia narrative is known as the expanded universe and owes a very definite cronology. It starts 5 hundred years before the narrated events in Episode IV and ceases 27 years after it. The Yavin battle, the 1st huge Rebel victory against the Empire, which is shown in the original STAR WARS, is the starting point of the timeline.
