THE PASSIVE

� We form the passive with the verb to be + the past participle of the main verb.

Examples: make --> is/are made,� opened --> was/were opened
is making --> is being made,� will paint --> will be painted, can�eat --> can be eaten
First change the active sentences, then find the verb to be + past participles in the Box.
Example
Steve wrote a letter ----> A letter was written by Steve.
