"While My Guitar Gently Weeps" - Jude has made a mess of things - so has Jojo. Dr. Martin Luther King has been assasinated - so many sad things going on at one time.........

"Across the Universe" — Jude takes the subway to a demonstration at Columbia University, looking for Lucy.

Words are flying out like endless into a paper cup
They slither while they pass. They slip away across the universe.
Pools of waves of joy are drifting thorough my open mind possessing and caressing me

Images of , which dance before me like a million eyes, that call me on and on, across the universe
Thoughts meander like a restless wind inside a letter box, they tumble blindly as they make their way, across the universe.

Paco is shot by the police and Lucy is arrested. Pushing through the crowd to help her, Jude is also beaten and arrested.

Lucy contacts Jude's father, Wes, who convinces the police not to press charges, but he cannot prove that Jude is his son (and thus an American citizen), so Jude is deported to England.

Jude goes back to work at the Liverpool shipyards. He meets his old girlfriend, Molly who is now pregnant by Jude's old friend Phil Scully. This doesn't really upset the apathetic Jude.

Max is wounded in Vietnam and is sent home. He is emotionally and mentally shattered by his experiences and dependent on morphine to relieve his pain.

Lucy remains involved in the anti-war movement, which is becoming more and more violent (Paco and some of his followers have begun making bombs). One of their bombs explodes, killing Paco and three others.

Jude reads about the explosion in a Liverpool newspaper and believes that Lucy has also been killed.

"Blackbird" - Lucy reaches out to Jude 'across the universe'.

Blackbird singing in the dead of night - Take these broken and learn to fly.

"Hey Jude" - Jude has a vision of Max singing to him. With help from his understanding mother, he arranges to legally return to the United States.

Hey Jude don't make it . Take a sad song and make it better. Remember to let her into your heart - then you can start to make it better.
Hey Jude don't be afraid. You were made to go out and get her. The minute you let her under your skin - then you begin to make it better.

And any time you feel the , Hey Jude, refrain - Don't carry the world upon your shoulders.

Max picks Jude up from the airport. They head off to a rooftop concert, where they meet up with Prudence, Sadie and Jojo (yes, they're back together).

"All You Need Is Love" — Jude, Sadie, Prudence, and Jojo sing.

Lucy, hears Jude and comes running....... (A happy ending is always nice!)
