Reported Speech

Be careful of the reporting verb and if the sentence is a fact!!!

Peter said,“My sister went to Italy.“

Peter said that  sister  to Italy.

The children said,”Our mum will come at seven.”

The children said that  mum  at seven.

The reporter said,”The thief came in through the window.”

The reporter said that the thief in through the window.

Brenda says,”We live in New York.”

Brenda says that   in New York.

Paula remarked,”I like Justin’s new song.”

Mike explained,”My sister doesn’t eat meat.”

Mike explained that  sister meat.

She said,”The Danube flows through Vienna.”

She said that the Danube  through Vienna.

Jenny says,”I have never eaten meat.”

Jenny says that   meat.

Carrie said,”I have never been to Greece.”

Carrie said that   been to Greece.

His sister promised,”We will go to the concert on Sunday.”

His sister promised that   to the concert on Sunday.

The teacher explained,”Tripuli is the capital of Libya.”

The teacher explained that Tripuli  the capital of Libya.

Sheila whispered,”I went to the concert with John.”

Sheila whispered that   to the concert with John.

The guide told the tourists,”The World Trade Center was destroyed in 2001.”

Dharma said,”New York is the coolest city on the planet.”
