Have you ever heard the expression 'stop and smell the roses'? Well, that's what we'll be asking you to do - just stop for a second and imagine all the natural beauty our world has to offer, all the wonders we should preserve and cherish... Take a look at the following video, free your mind and let it remember as much as it can....

The initial text of the video has one very common spelling and grammar mistake. Can you find it? Write it down  in the box, but the correct way - as it should be.

Humanity; The most intelligent species on the planet, capable of anything, but is governed by its aggression and youth. A species fast in development slow in maturing.

Once a species that cared about it’s home, it’s provider, let it’s ego dominate it’s decisions.  A period of ignorance and neglect has had profound effects across the world. Effects, which can be reversed, if nature is given the time to repair itself.

Remember: We have only one home.

David Bayliss

Now let's see how much your brain, relaxed and unencumbered, managed to remember about the video. Tick the boxes which mention the images from the nature which you were able to see in the video.

dolphins            crocodiles             seals                   flowers         wars
volcano             Earth                     snakes               penguins       ocean

Do you know which are the five basic elements of nature? Here is a text about them. Some words are incorrect and underlined, and you have to correct their spelling in the boxes.
(text borrowed and adapted from http://cfagbata.com/nature-five-elements/)

A lot of people are too busy to understand and appreciate the importanse of nature’s five elements to their lives. It is important not to be oblivius  of what is happening around us, especially to the place we regard as our home – the enviroment . You only have one planet to live in, so take care of it and do not take it for granted.

Human begins  sad to say, are too ungreatful  to appreciate what they have. They go on with their lives thinking that everything is fine, good and dandy. This is alright by the way, except that the earth is dying slowly without us even realizing or accepting it. We go on with our day to day activities, and tend to forget that we exist because of the nature's five elements which provide for our most basic neads .

What are the five elements of nature?

What have they done to merit my attention and time? Well, in case you have forgotten or you were absent when your professor in science was teaching the basic elements of nature, the elements of nature are;

  1. Air
  2. Fire
  3. Water
  4. Earth
  5. Space

Now let's check out if you can name the following wonders of nature.

You can now listen to a song by Kid Rock and watch a video of him driving through all kinds of landscapes. Fill in the blanks in the lyrics using the previous tasks as inspiration.

"Born Free" Kid Rock

Fast, on a rough
riding
High, through the
climbing
Twisting, turning further from my home.
Young, like a new
rising
Fierce, through the rain and

Wandering out into this great unknown.

And I don't want no one to cry,
But tell 'em if I don't survive:

[Chorus:]
I was born free!
I was booooooorn free
I was born free, born free.

Free, like a
raging
Strong, if the
I'm facing.
Chasing dreams and racing father time.
Deep like the grandest
,
Wild like an untamed
.
If you can't see my heart you must be blind.

You can knock me down and watch me bleed
But you can't keep no chains on me.

[Chorus:]
I was born free!

And I'm not good at long goodbyes,
But look down deep into my eyes,

I was born free!

Calm, facing danger,
Lost like an unknown stranger,
Grateful, for my time with no regrets.
Close to my destination,
Tired, frail and achin',
Waitin' patiently for the
to set.

And when it's done believe that I
Will yell it from that mountain highhh!

[Chorus:]
I was born free!

I will bow to shining
And celebrate God's grace on me!

I hope you enjoyed the song and the videos enough to truly 'stop and smell the roses', at least for a minute every day!
