Topic: Vocabulary Relationships (Idioms)
1. To get on like a house on fire: To meet somebody at first, and become friends quickly.
2. To get on one´s nerves: To Irritate or exasperate somebody.
3. To put a great strain on: To burden or overload something or somebody.
4. To put somebody down: To hurt somebody´s feelings.
5. To have it in for someone: To intend to harm somebody, especially because of a grudge.
6. A rocky relationship: A relationship which often goes up (in terms of mood, trust, affection, communication) but also often goes down.
7. To turn sour: To become unbearable or unpleasant, stop working properly.
8. To turn one´s back on somebody else: To stop being involved with somebody.
9. To take to: To become fond or attached to.
10. An instant dislike to somebody: A strong feeling of dislike against somebody who somebody else has just met.
11. To look up to somebody: To admire.
12. To look down on somebody: To show contempt for somebody.
13. To keep oneself to oneself: To remain remote or distant from someone or something.
14. To keep in touch with: To maintain communication with somebody.
