Economic Crisis

 

 

 

1. George W. Bush belongs to the  party. On the other hand, Barack Obama, who  office in 2008, is a .

2. Many Americans are finding difficult it to pay  their debts, e.i. to pay them in full.

3. Due to the financial crisis, European companies have   hundreds of workers, who are now unemployed. A number of them are white - workers, who carried out administrative tasks.

4. The European Union is trying hard to  with the present crisis. (= manage)

5. American  citizens, who depend only on their pension because they are too old to work, can have access to Medicare.

6. To make matters , governments don't seem to find a way out of the global crisis, by putting politics aside and working together.

7. In the 2010 Greek crisis, the debt is held by Greece in Euros. So one proposed solution to this  debt, is for the government to go back to issue their own currency, the drachma.

8. The IMF considers that the G20 needs its support to  (=manage) the global crisis.

9. Surprisingly,  countries, such as India or Argentina, are actually managing the global situation better than the industrial countries.
