 BE GOING TO

 

  • We use BE GOING TO to talk about intentions. When the verb is go or come, we often use the pres.continuous.

 

                    Next year I’m going to buy a car.

PRESENT CONTINUOUS

 

  • We use the PRESENT CONTINUOUS to talk about arrangements.

 

We’re getting married on May 15.

WILL

 

  • We use WILL when there’s no plan or arrangement. The decision is usually made at the time of speaking.

 I think I’ll go to the movies this evening.

MIGHT

 

  • We use MIGHT to talk about plans we’re unsure about.

 

I might go shopping tomorrow.
