Each year, Christmas is celebrated all over the world on December, 25th. People exchange gifts and greetings and visit their family.

Preparations begin earlier : homes are decorated with mistletoe, wreaths of holly, stockings. In some countries, a Nativity scene is displayed. Candles are lighted. Stockings and evergreen branches are hung up.The tree is trimed with different ornaments (garlands, lights, bows, ...).  People bake spiced cookies and Gingerbread men .

On Christmas eve the children go to bed in order not to see Santa Claus. But their parents wake them up at midnight. Thus, they find out all the presents delivered by Santa.

The legend says he delivers presents (such as toys made by magical elves) to all of the good children in the world, in one night thanks to reindeers

who pull his sleigh.
