Rephrasing: Wish-clauses
 
1. Unfortunately, the teacher will not cancel the English test.
   I wish the teacher  the English test.
 
2. Jimmy is sorry that he ate all the chocolates. 
   Jimmy wishes  he  all the chocolates.
 
3. It's a pity that I don't know the answer.
   If only I  the answer.
