Discourse phrases in a dialogue
This exercise aims to help learners to communicate properly. You need three things to this. First, there are so called Discourse phrases that you need to know to be able to build up a dialogue. Second, you need Function phrases to make the language work (i.e.: giving directions, giving opinion, etc.). Finally there are Strategy phrases that help when thereīs a breakdown in communication (e.g.: when a word doesnīt come to your mind or you donīt understand what the other says).
